Self-sufficiency of Iran in the design and construction of methanol petrochemical equipment

The transportation of the ultra-heavy 360-ton methanol production reactor from Machine Sazi Arak to Bandar Abbas has begun. After traveling 1500 kilometers on land and 600 kilometers by sea, this reactor will ultimately be installed at the Siraf Energy Petrochemical Complex located in Dayyer, Bushehr Province.

This equipment is the last shipment of a total of 24 pieces related to the Siraf and Sabalan 2 petrochemical projects, and with the completion of these projects, the country"s methanol production capacity will increase by 10,000 tons per day.

By localizing the design, engineering, and construction of this 5400-ton project at the Machine Sazi Arak contracting and engineering group, which has been carried out according to the latest global standards, Iran has joined the ranks of the five leading countries in the technology and manufacturing of process equipment for methanol production. This achievement not only demonstrates the industrial capabilities of the country in methanol production but also represents a significant step towards self-sufficiency and reducing dependence on foreign technologies.

Methanol production, as one of the key products of the petrochemical industry, plays an important role in meeting domestic needs and exports, and this project can help strengthen Iran"s position in global markets.
